Skylight blinds or shutters are also available

The blind cord end does not intrusively dangle down  under the skylight, (like others). Depending on structure we can position the cord out of the way or above a light switch.

Skylight blind

If the skylight blind is required in conjunction with the 2 in1 night light, they must be manufactured according to the purpose and are not able to be retro fitted easily.

Retro fitted blinds are effective in reducing light output during the day, but if there has been a lighting kit fitted then it is likely that the blind will interfere with its operation and could result in a fire or electrical fault.

Duty of care

Spot On Skylights is liable and has a duty of care under the electrical wiring standards and regulations (because we are qualified) and we will not accept responsibility for other lighting installations.

To date I have not seen one that meets the general requirements Spot On skylights complies with.

Many of these “light kits” were copied from Spot On Skylights original design,  marketed more than 20 years ago.

However unlike others; we use the correct heat and U/V resistant cable and fittings as per W.A. minimum electrical and energy safety standards.
